Truly A Queen For A Day

My middle sister's birthday is today.  If anyone qualifies to be a "queen", it would be her.  She is loving, thoughtful, caring, generous to family and friends alike and just an all-around terrific person.  I created this card for her based on the sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments #55.

The card base is Baja Breeze card stock.  I added a layer of Not Quite Navy card stock punched on all sides with the Scallop Trim Border punch and on the corners with the Scallop Trim Corner punch.  Using the distressing tool from the Cutter Kit, I distressed all the edges of a piece of Springtime Vintage designer series paper and then sponged them with Soft Suede ink.  Using the Color Spritzer tool and a Soft Suede marker, I spritzed ink on the designer paper for a little vintage look.  Baja Breeze ribbon was ruffled by pulling on a couple of threads on one end and then added to the designer paper with Sticky Strip.  This layer was attached to the Not Quite Navy Layer.  With the Big Shot, the Two Tags Die and Always Artichoke card stock, I cut out the tag with the scalloped top and folded it in half.  I stamped the crown from the Artistic Etchings stamp set with VersaMark, heat embossed it with gold embossing powder, cut it out with Paper Snips, and popped it up with dimensionals.  On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from You're A Gem stamp set with VersaMark and heat embossed that with gold embossing powder.  I sponged all the edges with Soft Suede ink.  An Antique Brad was added to the front; I then added the folded tag to the card front with dimensionals.  Happy birthday Barb.  I hope you're having a warm, sunny day down south.
