Hi to Eye Popping Colors

Hello all.  It's been a while since I last posted; no excuses.  I decided to dive in to two challenges with this card:  4 Crafty Chicks Sketch Challenge 33 and Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge #146.

I chose Very Vanilla for the card base to offset the bright colors a little.  I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie ribbon to a strip of Pacific Point card stock and attached it to the card front.  I then matted a piece of Sweet and Sour designer paper with Pacific Point card stock.  I added that to the card using mini glue dots.  A piece of Real Red card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then matted with Pacific Point card stock.  That was attached to the front using mini glue dots
and dimensionals.  I punched out two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock with the 2-1/2" Circle punch and the 1-1/4" Circle punch and sponged the edges with Pacific Point ink.  With the Big Shot and the Flower Daisies #2 die, I cut out three sets of the flowers from Pacific Point, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I layered the medium and small flowers and attached them to the Very Vanilla circles.  I added an Antique Brad to the larger flower.  The sentiment from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Pacific Point ink, punched out with the 1/2" Circle punch and added to the center of the small flower.  Both flowers were then adhered to the card front with dimensionals and mini glue dots.  I'm always a little surprised when an unusual color combination looks good together.  Have a great day.
