My card today is one I made for my wonderful husband who is celebrating his -- birthday today. I worked on it following two challenges: Stampin' Royalty Challenge #77 and 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #43 - Clean and Simple. The photo doesn't pick up the colors that well because I had to take the picture without my normal light since the bulb burned out.
The card base is Marina Mist card stock. The Wild Wasabi layer was run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. The image from the Studio Sketches stamp set was stamped on Watercolor paper with StazOn ink. I used watercolor crayons in Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red and Wild Wasabi and an Aqua Painter to color the image (the bowl is Marina Mist). I added Crystal Effects to the bowl to give it some shine. I punched the image out with the 1-3/8" Circle punch and attached it to a piece of Marina Mist card stock with dimensionals. I layered this on a piece of Riding Hood Red card stock stamped with the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set using black StazOn ink. A row of silver brads was added in place of the ribbon on the sketch. As usual, a guy card is harder for me to create but my husband, thankfully, is a clean and simple kind of guy. Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Still waiting for some sunshine that lasts longer than 10 minutes.
