Stars and Stripes

What a great color combo that celebrates our nation's birthday.  There are so many challenges out there this week with this theme.  I used three for this card:  Hand Stamped Sentiments #72, Pals Paper Arts #99 and Just Add Ink #73.

I started with a card base of Whisper White card stock.  Strips of Night of Navy and Real Red card stocks were added.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and a Texturz Plate.  I attached two pieces of Real Red ribbon and one piece of Night of Navy ribbon.  On top of those, I added the alternate color ribbon to
each one.  This layer was added to the card front.  Again using the Big Shot, I cut out red, white, and blue stars with the Stars #2 die.  I layered each with an alternate color and added Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White brads to the centers.  The top and bottom star were attached using glue dots and the center star was popped up with dimensionals.  Great colors that represent our wonderful country.  We must remember to honor it each day not just once a year.  Have a wonderful week.
