Pennant Celebration

This is the second card from my class last weekend.  I CASE'd this card from LeeAnn Greff here.  When I first saw it, it caught my eye for its clean and simple look.  The colors and sentiment are different but it still has the same feel to it.  Thanks for the inspiration LeeAnn.

The card base is Concord Crush card stockWisteria Wonder card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth embossing folder.  With the Petite Pennants Builder punch I punched out three of the larger pennant from Cheerful Treat designer paper and three of the smaller pennant, one each from Concord Crush, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade card stocks.  I attached the smaller ones to the larger pennant with dimensionals.  I made a hole in the top two corners of each of the large pennants.  Using White Baker's Twine, I "hung" each of the pennants and wrapped each end of the twine around a silver brad on the embossed layer.  This whole layer was added to the card front.  The bottom of each pennant was attached to the card with glue dots so they would stay put.  The sentiment from the retired Something to Celebrate stamp set was stamped on Whisper White card stock with Concord Crush ink and punched out with the Modern Label punch.  It was attached over the center pennant with dimensionals.  Using the Boho Blossoms punch and one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punches, I punched out the flowers, attached them together and added them to the card.  Pearls were added for the finishing touch.  The ladies were happy with their cards but not so happy when they had to hang the pennants on the twine.  A quick tip:  Use a large eye needle if you have to thread the twine through card stock; works like a charm.  Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

Patti - this is adorable. The DSP makes the pennants looked ruffled. Thanks for blessing my day. :)
