A Baby Roar

I certainly know how to relax when a holiday rolls around; so much so that I haven't blogged in almost a week.  Thanksgiving was great; my younger son and daughter-in-love were here for the long weekend and my sister joined us for Thanksgiving dinner.  Lots of good food and even better company.  My card today is based on the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge4 #231.

I used Basic Gray card stock as the base for the card.  A piece of Nursery Nest designer paper was matted with Basic Gray card stock and attached at an angle to a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock.  The parts that overhung the Pear Pizzazz were trimmed flush to that layer and this was all added to the card front.  The lion image from the Fox & Friends stamp set was heat embossed on Whisper White card stock with VersaMark, Pear Pizzazz ink, and clear embossing powder.  I punched it out with a 1-3/8" circle punch, sponged around the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink and attached it to a 1-3/4" scallop circle.  A white gel pen was used to add the dots in each of the scallops.  The sentiment is part of the hello baby stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  It was stamped on Whisper White card stock with Basic Gray ink and punched out with the Small Oval punch.  I punched another small oval from Basic Gray card stock, cut it in half and used it to mat the top and bottom of the sentiment.  A piece of Pear Pizzazz ribbon was added to the front.  I then attached the image and the sentiment over the ribbon with dimensionals.  This was an interesting sketch to work with but I liked it because of the large area that was perfect for designer paper.  I hope you had a chance to have fun and create today.  See you soon.
