Pool Spice Birthday

Today I took on the Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #12.  I rotated the card 90 degrees and changed the position of the bow but other than that it follows the sketch pretty closely.

For my card base I chose Pool Party card stock.  The sentiment from the Perfect Punches stamp set was heat embossed on Naturals Ivory card stock using VersaMark, More Mustard
ink and clear embossing powder.  I punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch, sponged around the edge with Soft Suede ink and attached it with dimensionals to the center of the oval from the Designer Frames embossing folders that I had trimmed around the edge and sponged with More Mustard ink.  I cut two strips of the Spice Cake designer paper and one of Soft Suede textured card stock.  All the edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink.  I punched out three doilies from More Mustard card stock with the Doily Triple Layer punch and sponged around the edges with More Mustard ink.  A 1/2" circle of Pool Party card stock was added behind each doily to give a hint of color in the center of each.  The three doilies were adhered to one of the strips of designer paper and a Very Vanilla brad added to the center of each.  All three strips were attached to the card front.  The sentiment layer was added using dimensionals.  A bow made from the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon was attached above the sentiment.  I really enjoy this designer paper because the colors work so well together.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Have fun and make some time to create, create, create!
