February Merry

Hi everyone.  Time for this week's Christmas card challenge at Merry Monday Challenge #7.  If you'd like to get a jump start on this year's holiday cards, check out this challenge.  You'll find the sketches are simple but you take them in whatever direction you'd like.

I used Shimmery White card stock as the base for my card.  A piece of Garden Green card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and attached to the card front.  I matted a piece of the retired Frostwood Lodge designer paper with Cherry Cobbler card stock and added that to the card.  The image from the Bells and Boughs stamp set was stamped on a piece of Shimmery White card stock with black StazOn ink.  The flowers were colored using the Cherry Cobbler ink pad and a blender pen.  The pine boughs were colored using a Garden Green marker.  I punched each corner with the Scallop Trim Corner punch and matted the image with Cherry Cobbler card stockGarden Green brads were added and the whole layer popped up on the card with dimensionals.  Pearls colored with a permanent marker were added to the centers of the poinsettias.  The sentiment from the retired Perfect Ending stamp set was heat embossed on Shimmery White card stock using VersaMark and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  I punched it out with the Small Oval punch.  A piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock was also punched out with this punch, cut in half and attached to the back of the sentiment as a mat.  I added a Garden Green brad and attached it to the card with a dimensional.  There it is, another card ready for the Christmas holiday later this year.  Come on over and join the fun at the Merry Monday challenges.  Enjoy your weekend.  Have fun and be creative.
