Bride's Bouquet
 |
| 12" x 12" Page |
Since I've been taking the My Digital Studio class, all I've wanted to work on are scrapbook pages. When I saw the A La Card Monkey Challenge #99, it looked like a great layout for a scrap page. Photos from two family weddings (including my son's) are waiting to be preserved for posterity. This challenge was also to include flowers. The
colors from the Stampin' Royalty Challenge #115 looked like they
would complement this photo from my son's wedding. I hope this
scrapbook page is an okay substitute for the card challenge.
One of the things I am having a hard time mastering is the layering on the pages. I've lost layers on pages but I guess I'll figure this
out the more I do. On this page I also was practicing lining up and centering the vintage flowers. The text is always fun to play with; the hard part is choosing a font that seems just right for the page. Changing the opacity of the papers and colors also lets you add more interest to the page. I loved this picture of my daughter-in-love's bouquet on the hood of the car. When they started planning their wedding, one of the first things my son said he wanted to do was rent a vintage car for their wedding day. Hence, the title on the page. Now that I've got one under my belt, there seems to be no excuse to not complete a whole book. Thanks for stopping by. I know I had fun being creative; I hope you get a chance to do the same.

Patti, I love that you used the sketch for a page and what a gorgeous photograph it is. Fabulous job. So glad you shared it with us at A La Card Monkey this week

I think your page looks terrific. I've found that when building anything in MDS, it's best to start from the back. Once you have a few layers you like, you could select them all and click "group." That'll keep them together, and it's easier to keep the layers in order too. Thanks for taking part in our Monkey Challenge this week!
Great page. Love everything about it. Are you having fun with MDS. I have to get back to it again. Where are you taking a class?
Absolutely stunning, Patti! This was the perfect layout for this picture. And the title is so cute!
Your scrapbook page is simply beautiful and you're right the challenge looks like it was perfect for the flowers and colors. So nice Patti! I'm looking forward to seeing all your MDS creations.
Oh Patti, this is so elegant! Beautiful layout, color choice and way to go lining up those flowers! Gorgeous!
Absolutely fabulous page Patti! Thanks for blessing my day. You ALMOST have me wanting to get into MDS!
