Future Dreams

We had another graduation this year - my older son completed his master's degree.  We are very proud of him because he did it while working full time and going through a serious bicycle accident that caused him to lose a semester.  I created this card based on the
A La Card Monkey Challenge #111 and CAS-ual Fridays #55 - Put a Bling On It.

The school colors are blue and gold so I started with Brushed Gold card stock for the base.  On a piece of Night of Navy card stock I stamped two images from the long retired Tassel Time with VersaMark ink and heat
embossed them with clear embossing powder.  This was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and attached to the card front.  The sentiment from the Word Play stamp set was heat embossed with VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder.  This was matted with Brushed Gold card stock and popped up with dimensionals on the card.  Using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch, I punched out four Brushed Gold and four Night of Navy pennants.  I trimmed the blue pennants with the Paper Cutter and matted them with the gold pennants.  The numbers from a stamp set purchased at a local craft store years ago were heat embossed with VersaMark and gold embossing powder.  In real life, they look good but are hard to see here.  I then strung them on White Baker's Twine using a large-eye sewing needle and attached them to the card with dimensionals.  I added a little celebratory rhinestone bling to each pennant.  Even though he has already graduated, I still wanted to send him congratulations with a card.  Thanks for stopping by.  Be creative and have fun doing so.
