A Scent of Summer

My favorite fruit in summer is cherries.  I eat them every chance I get.  I used that as inspiration for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge #46 - Bright Summer Days.  I also took on the ColourQ Challenge #140 and the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #38.  To make it even more appealing, I added cherry scent to the fruit.

The card base is Tempting Turquoise card stock.  A piece of Whisper White card stock
was run through the Big Shot with the Stripes Embossing Folder and attached to the card front.  A piece of Tempting Turquoise stamped with the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was then added.  Summer Smooches designer paper was punched on one end with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  It was then matted with Lucky Limeade card stock that was also punched on one end with the same punch.  Lucky Limeade ribbon was wrapped around this layer and tied in a knot.  It was then
attached to the card with dimensionals.  The cherry stamp from the Mouthwatering stamp set was colored with Real Red, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso markers and stamped on Whisper White card stock.  I then heat embossed the same image with VersaMark, Real Red ink and Cherry Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder.  The cherries were cut out and attached to the colored image with dimensionals.  This layer was matted with Lucky Limeade and attached to the designer paper layer.  I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Now I'm really looking forward to the first cherries of the season.  Have a great weekend.  I hope you get some time for fun and creating.
