Double Challenge Reason To Smile
Sending a sympathy card is never a reason to smile but you always hope the card will brighten the day for the bereaved person receiving it. My card today is based on two challenges: Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #45 and Just Add Ink Color Challenge #124.
The card base is Whisper White card stock. Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon was added to a piece of Marina Mist Polka Dot Parade designer paper which was then attached to the card. I made a bow from the same ribbon and added it with a glue dot. The
image layers are from the Reason to Smile stamp set. I first inked up the solid flower from the stamp set with Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi markers and stamped it on Whisper White card stock. I then used the Early Espresso ink pad to ink the outline flower from the same stamp set and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped over the first flower. The sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped on one of the images with Early Espresso ink. The corners were all rounded with the 3/16" Corner Punch. All three were matted with Wild Wasabi card stock. Retired Marina Mist glimmer brads were added to the other two images. All three were attached using dimensionals. This is a lovely mix of colors if you want a soft look to a card. Thanks for coming by and I'll see you soon.
