Tidings of Comfort & Joy

Happy Friday to all.  The weekend is upon us; I hope you have some fun planned.  This is my Christmas card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge #29.

For the card base I chose Cherry Cobbler card stock.  A piece of Be of Good Cheer designer paper was matted with Cherry Cobbler and attached to Very Vanilla card stock.  This layer was run through the Big Shot with one of the dies from the Apothecary Accents Framelits.
I removed the die cut piece.  The sentiment from the Word Play stamp set was heat embossed on Very Vanilla card stock with VersaMark and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  It was cut out with the same framelits die and the edges were sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink.  The Very Vanilla layer was laid over the card front and the opening from the die marked lightly with a pencil.  The sentiment was then attached to the card.  Dimensionals were used to attach the Very Vanilla layer to the card.  A piece of Gumball Green card stock was then run through the Big Shot using the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and matted with Cherry Cobbler card stock.  A piece of Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon (turned over to get the solid color) was wrapped around this layer and the ends tied in a knot.  This was then added to the card front.  Pearls were colored with a Gumball Green marker and added to the ribbon and the sentiment.  Another pretty easy card for my Christmas collection.  If you'd like to get started on some of your Christmas cards, check out this challenge.  I'm sure it will inspire you.  Have a great weekend.
