Sending Holiday Wishes

It's time for my Christmas card of the week using the sketch at the Merry Monday Challenge #32.  I'm still hanging in there every week.  I've got quite a collection to use for the upcoming holiday.

As you can see, I turned the sketch 90 degrees to the right because of the sentiment I wanted to use in place of the image.  Shimmery White card stock was used as the base for this card.  I love the subtle sparkle on this card stock.  Baja Breeze card stock was
run through the Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, spritzed with Platinum Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol (rubbing that is), matted with Gumball Green card stock and attached to the card.  The houses paper from the Snow Festival designer paper was also matted with Gumball Green card stock and attached.  I cut three thin strips of a  different paper from the same designer series package, matted them with Gumball Green and added them to the card.  The sentiment from the Christmas Lodge stamp set was heat embossed on Shimmery White card stock using VersaMark and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  It was cut out with the Big Shot and one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies.  Using the same die, I cut out a piece of Gumball Green card stock, cut it in half lengthwise and used the two pieces to mat the sentiment layer.  I attached this layer to the card with dimensionals.  Two Large Pearls were colored with, yep, you guessed it, a Gumball Green marker and attached on each side of the sentiment.  Thanks for coming by.  We're on the brink of fall and the holidays will be coming up sooner than we'd like.  Get a little head start on your cards; stop by the Merry Monday blog for some inspiration.  I'll see you soon.

I love the sentiment as the main foca point on this card, Patti! And the papers are so perfect for showing it off. I wouldn't have thought of using the Baja and Gumball, but it works beautifully! Thanks for sharing it with us at Merry Monday!
