Primrose Ornament

Happy Sunday to all.  Well, here I am last-minute posting to the Merry Monday Challenge #40My card this week also has some non-traditional colors based on the Color Me Beautiful Challenge #11.  I did turn the sketch 90 degrees so that I could use the ornament as my shape.

I chose Very Vanilla card stock for the base.  I added a strip of Soft Suede card stock, Comfort Cafe designer paper and an embossed piece of Sahara Sand to Primrose Petals card stock and attached the layer to the card front.  One of the ornaments from the Ornament Keepsake stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Primrose Petals ink.  I then heat embossed the same ornament on Very Vanilla card stock using
Color Me Beautiful 11
VersaMark, Primrose Petals ink and clear
embossing powder.  Both ornaments were cut out using the Big Shot and the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die.  I cut out the polka dot section and the ornament cap from the embossed ornament and attached them to the stamped one using dimensionals.  I made a bow using Very Vanilla ribbon and attached it with a glue dot.  Pearls were added and the ornament was then popped up on the card with dimensionals.  Some pearls were added to the corner to take away the "flat" look of that side of the card.  Thanks for stopping by.  We're enjoying a pleasant day here with some above normal temps.  Please take a moment today to remember the veterans who served our country especially those to made the ultimate sacrifice.
