A good friend recently had surgery and is at home recuperating. I wanted to let him know I was thinking of him so I used the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge #243 as inspiration for this card.
My square card base is Daffodil Delight card stock. I added a layer of International Bazaar designer paper. I colored just the sentiment from the Just Thinking single stamp with the Rich Razzleberry marker, stamped it on Naturals Ivory card stock and cut it out with the Big Shot and one of the Window Frames dies. The same stamp was then heat embossed on Rich Razzleberry card stock with VersaMark and clear embossing powder. I used the same die to cut out the embossed image. An exacto knife was used to cut out the center. I then colored just the word friend with the Rich Razzleberry marker, stamped it on Daffodil Delight card stock, cut it out with the Word Window Punch and attached it to the rest of the sentiment. The embossed frame was attached to the sentiment layer with Dimensionals and this was attached to the card. I then "sewed" a Silver Basics button on a folded piece of Natural Trim Ribbon with Linen Thread, flagged the ends and attached it to the card with a Dimensional. There you have my thinking of you get well card. I hope you're having a good week. I'll see you soon.
