First Mother's Day

Hi.  My card today is a card for my beautiful daughter-in-love who celebrates her first Mother's Day this year.  It doesn't look like your typical card without flowers on it, but I wanted to create something without flowers.  Hope she likes this.  I used The Paper Players Challenge #144 (Mother's Day) and the Nacho Average Challenge #15 (sketch).

I chose to use Pool Party card stock for the base.  To that I added another layer of Pool Party that I ran through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  Since this layer was the same color as the card base, I added some sponging around the edges using Pool Party ink.  It was attached to the card with Glue DotsThe images
from the Mosaic Madness stamp set were heat embossed on Whisper White card stock using Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and  VersaMark inks and Clear and Tangerine Tango embossing powders.  One image was heat embossed on International Bazaar designer paper with VersaMark and White embossing powder.  They were then punched out with the Mosaic Punch and added to the card.  The sentiment from the Something to Celebrate stamp set was then heat embossed on Daffodil Delight card stock with VersaMark, Pacific Point ink and Clear embossing powder.  This was added to a piece of International Bazaar designer paper that was matted with Pacific Point card stock and the whole layer added to the card.  Pearls were then added to finish it off.  How special it is to celebrate your first Mother's Day.  And I thank God each day for the sweet, little baby girl she is mom to.  Here's wishing all you moms, grandmothers and women caring for children a special day.  You have no equal.
