Now I know tomorrow is Mother's Day and you're wondering what I'm doing with a Christmas card here. This is for the weekly Merry Monday Sketch Challenge #60 due Sunday but I didn't want to post it tomorrow. I also took on the Late Night Stampers Challenge #222 - use retiring Stampin' Up! Colors (I used Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery and Not Quite Navy).
The card base is Certainly Celery card stock. In the lower right corner I heat embossed the sentiment from The Sounding Joy stamp set using VersaMark, Not Quite Navy ink and Clear embossing powder. The image from A Wish for Peace stamp set was also heat embossed on Baja Breeze card stock the same way I did the sentiment. It was cut out with the Big Shot and one of the Labels Framelits Dies and sponged around the edges with Baja Breeze ink. I added a piece of Certainly Celery ribbon on the back. A piece of Not Quite Navy card stock was also cut out with the next larger Labels Framelits Die. The left edge was cut off and the piece added to the card. The left edge of the image was also trimmed off and attached to the Not Quite Navy piece using Dimensionals. Dazzling Diamonds were added to the image using a glue pen. A Rhinestone was then added to the sentiment. There it is - my Christmas card for the week. I'd like to again wish all the moms and grandmoms out there a very happy Mother's Day. Enjoy.
