Simple Mosaic & Flowers

So, how has your weekend been going so far?  I hope you're enjoying weather as beautiful as it is here.  Today's card is based on two challenges:  Pals Paper Arts Challenge #166 and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #97.

This is a card that I used no ink or stamps on so I guess you'd say it was pretty clean and simple.  The base is Whisper White card stockSmoky Slate card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  It was matted with Daffodil Delight card stock and attached to the card.  I added a piece of the mosaic print clear plastic from the Quatrefancy Specialty designer paper to a piece of Smoky Slate card stock.  I
temporarily held it in place  with a glue dot.  This was also matted with Daffodil Delight card stock.  The Boho Blossoms and one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punches were used to punch pieces out of Whisper White, Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight card stocks.  They were laid out on the plastic and I used Mini Brads to attach them which also helped to hold the plastic to the card stock.  Two pieces of Strawberry Slush Ruffle Trim were added and the whole layer attached to the card with Dimensionals.  There you have it.  I didn't add a sentiment because it will probably go to Operation Write Home and can be used as a general note card.  I'm happy you stopped by.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

You did a fabulous job of combining the two challenges! I especially love how you used the two rows of ruffled ribbon in place of the banners. It's a lovely card! Thanks for sharing with us at Pals Paper Arts and Freshly Made Sketches this week!
