Square & Feminine

Good Monday to all.  Today I have a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" card for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #167 and the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #98.  These are such lovely colors in the Pals challenge so I figured a card that was a little girly would be just right.

For my base I chose Very Vanilla card stock.  I took a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder leaving the upper edge without embossing.  I then used the Simply Scored Borders Plate to get the embossed dash across the top.  I added a strip
of Pistachio Pudding Ruffle Trim and a strip of Victoria Crochet Trim right above it.  This layer was then matted with Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and added to the card.  The sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set was heat embossed on Very Vanilla card stock using VersaMark, Pistachio Pudding ink and Clear Embossing Powder.  It was cut out with one of the Circles Framelits as well as the Crisp Cantaloupe circle.  Both circles were sponged, one with Pistacho Pudding ink and the other with Crisp Cantaloup ink.  They were then added to the card.  Using one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punches, I punched out a piece of Pistachio Pudding card stock and attached it to the same shape bitty button with liquid glue.  I added that to the card using a piece of DimensionalPearls were added to give it some more girly accents.  Hope your weekend was a good one.  Thanks for stopping in.  Remember to check back on Wednesday for my blog candy offering.

Patti, this is such a sweet card. I like the effect of the off-set circles and the angled hello. The combination draws immediate attention! Thanks for playing at PPA this week.
