Today's card is one I plan to use for a class this coming weekend. I used the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #171 and the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #103 to inspire me.
I used Very Vanilla card stock as the base of this card. The image from the Timeless Talk stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Baked Brown Sugar ink. The edges were sponged with the same color ink. Baked Brown Sugar trim was added to one edge of the image with Sticky Strip and matted with Calyso Coral card stock.
Another piece of Calypso Coral card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. Both the image layer and the embossed layer were then attached tightly together on the card front. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on Calypso Coral using Baked Brown Sugar ink and cut out with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits using the Big Shot. The edges were sponged with the same ink and the ends curled a little with a bone folder. I then attached it with Glue Dots so that it didn't lay completely flat. Pearls were added to the embossed layer, the center of the phone dial and the handset. This is my favorite stamp set in the current catalog so I plan to make all three cards for this class using it. I also want to show the ladies how you can get different looks from one stamp set. Here's hoping you have a great week ahead.
