Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Today's card is an easy one to pull together is your way behind on making your cards for the holidays.  It is based on three challenges:  Merry Monday #80 (music or carol inspired), Colours and Sketches Challenge #48, and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge #22 (fancy fold - my card is not real fancy, just not the normal fold).

I started with a piece of Shimmery White card stock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".  It was scored on the long side at 1-1/2" and 5-3/4" and folded on the score lines.  I then cut a piece of Winter Frost designer paper with the Big Shot and the #9 die from the Circles Collection Framelits.  In any of the die collections with lots of dies, I number each die starting from the inside (smallest) to the outside (largest).  This was matted
with a piece of Island Indigo card stock cut from the largest die (large scallop circle) from the same collection.  This was attached to the wider of front folds.  The image from the Santa's List stamp set was heat embossed on Shimmery White card stock using VersaMark and Smoky Slate embossing powder and cut out with the #6 die.  A mat for the image was cut out of Island Indigo card stock with the #7 die.
Dazzling Diamonds were added to Santa's beard, hat and cuffs using a glue pen.  The image layer was attached to the card using Glue Dots on just the top part.  Using adhesive too far down on the back of the image would prevent you from opening the card.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on Shimmery White with Island Indigo ink, matted with a piece of Island Indigo card
stock and attached using Dimensionals.  Rhinestones were added for some holiday sparkle and the finishing touch.  This is one of those sketches that can be used with many different images and papers and not just for Christmas.  If your creative mojo ever goes to sleep, a good way to get it back is find one of the many challenges out in blog land to help wake it up.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've been having a great weekend.  See you soon.
