Christmas Greetings in March

I know, Christmas is long gone and winter won't seem to go away in the Northeast, but I haven't participated in the Merry Monday challenge in a long time.  Today's card was inspired by the Merry Monday Challenge #99 and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #127.  I like the sketch and the colors in the challenge.

I chose Naturals Ivory card stock for the card base.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the Warmth & Wonder stamp set using VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder.  I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Stylish Strips embossing folder and attached it to the card.  Another piece of the ivory card stock was stamped using the Hardwood stamp and Chocolate Chip ink.  I matted it with Garden Green and Brushed Gold card stocks and added it to the
card.  The image from the Warmth & Wonder stamp set was stamped using Garden Green ink.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the right placement of the little ornaments and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.  It was cut out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits using the Magnetic Platform.  The same framelit was used to cut out two more, one from Garden Green and one from Brushed Gold.  The mat pieces were cut in half lengthwise and attached to the image.  Gold Baker's Twine was wrapped around and tied in a knot.  Dimensionals were used to attach it to the card.  It was fun to work on a Christmas card again; I guess I'll have to participate more in the challenge.  I hope your weekend is off to a good start.  I'll see you soon.
