Emma's Easter Card

Happy Easter to everyone celebrating this holiday.  Today I'm sharing the card I made for my granddaughter.  The idea for the rabbit came from some punch art directions I purchased from Jackie Topa a couple of years ago.  He was changed up a little.  The directions for the basket came from Avery Murphy here.  Listed below are items I used to make the card.

Whenever we give Emma a card, I write a poem especially for her.  I knew I was going to use the oval die for the body so after I printed it out, I chose the die that would work best.  I folded the card stock and cut it out so the fold was below the edge of the die.  The card opens up from the bottom and the fold is behind the head.

Body:  Ovals Collection Framelits Dies (fifth one from the middle); Naturals Ivory card stock
Head/Face:  2-1/2" Circle Punch; 1" Circle Punch; Heart to Heart Punch (retired); Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (circle); 1/2" Circle Punch; Naturals Ivory, Basic Black and Pink Pirouette card stocks; Crumb Cake Marker
Ears:  Large Oval Punch; Word Window Punch; Blossom Petals Builder Punch (retired); Naturals Ivory and Pink Pirouette card stocks
Feet:  Large Oval Punch; Naturals Ivory card stock
Hands:  Scallop Oval Punch: 1" Circle Punch; Naturals Ivory card stock; Crumb Cake Marker
Bow:  Small Heart Punch; Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack; Pistachio Pudding card stock
Basket:  Labels Collection Framelits Dies - after weaving the card stock (second from the center); Oval Dies for the handle; Fringe Scissors for the grass; Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding card stock
Eggs in Basket:  Small Oval Punch; Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (retired); Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding card stocks

The finishing touch was a "cotton tail" to the back of the card.  My husband always saves the cotton from containers such as vitamins and prescriptions.  I added some adhesive and attached some of the cotton to it.  Gave the bunny that little extra touch.  Emma is getting older so hopefully she enjoys this little guy.  Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed the card.  Don't eat too many bunnies and beans (jelly) today.  Aw heck, Easter only comes once a year.  Indulge!!
