Spring is in the Air

Well, I think spring has finally sprung here in New York.  The sun is shining and the temps have warmed up.  Looking forward to everything turning green and some flowers growing.  I used three challenges for my card today:  Pals Paper Arts Challenge #198; Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #161; The Card Concept Challenge #7.  For the Card Concept Challenge I consider my card a clean and layered style.

I chose Very Vanilla card stock for the base.  A piece of Old Olive card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  I matted a piece of Birthday Basics designer paper with Pool Party card stock and added it to the embossed layer.  Summer Starfruit ribbon was added and
added and the layer attached to the card front.  I sponged Old Olive ink on a piece of Natural Composition designer paper.  After sponging it, I wiped it with a paper towel and the embossed area of the paper shows through.  I rounded the corners and attached it to a piece of Pool Party card stock whose corners were also rounded.
This layer was attached with Dimensionals.  Butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Pool Party and Summer Starfruit inks and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches.  I attached them to the card with Glue DotsPearls were added to the butterflies as the finishing touches.  I don't expect to see any butterflies yet but they'll be around before we know it.  Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend and the sun was shining where you were.
