a BIG happy birthday

Happy weekend to all.  Today's card is super simple to create.  It's a great sketch that would work for any occasion.  I chose two challenges to work from on this one:  Colour Me...! Color Challenge #36 and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #152.

The Beginning:  The color challenge was to use Daffodil Delight plus neutral.  I chose Whisper White and added Soft Suede as my neutrals.  The base is Daffodil Delight card stock.  A piece of Park Lane designer paper is matted with Soft Suede and added to the card.  The corners on both pieces were rounded.  I rounded the corners on a strip of the Park Lane paper and added it.
Sentiment Layer:  The sentiment from the Age
Awareness stamp set was stamped on Whisper White card stock with Soft Suede ink.  After rounding the corners I matted it with Soft Suede, also with corners rounded.  Dimensionals were use to pop it up on the card.
The Finishing Touch:  Large Pearls were added to the left of the sentiment.  Regular Pearls were added to dot the "i" and the exclamation point.
The designer paper and the large sentiment really made this card easy to put together.  When you have this beautiful paper, might as well put it to work.

I haven't posted since my granddaughter had her surgery on Tuesday.  Everything went very well and she is recuperating at a quick pace.  Thank you to those who sent along well wishes and prayers.

Great idea to use the patterned paper for the challenge! I love how you matted the sentiment in front and added some bling for interest.
