How About Some More Butterflies

More butterflies for this card which is going out to a friend for their birthday.  Two challenges were used:  Try Stampin' On Tuesday #209 and Hand Stamped Sentiments #207.

The sketch was for a square card but I made it a regular A2 size.  The base is Blackberry Bliss card stock.  I heat embossed a piece of Vellum card stock using VersaMark, White Embossing powder and the Something Lacy background stamp.  After cutting it to the size I wanted, I cut out the center using the Labels Framelits (third one in from the center).  The negative piece was attached to Blushing Bride card stock and attached to the card.  On the back of the cut out piece I randomly colored
using Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi Markers.  I tried sponging but it didn't show through as well as the markers.  The edge was sponged with Blackberry Bliss ink.  It was added to the card using DimensionalsWild Wasabi card stock was punched out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and attached using small pieces of Dimensionals (the extra pieces around the edges of the Dimensionals sheet).  The larger butterfly was punched out of Blackberry Bliss card stock with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I stamped one of the images from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set on Blushing Bride card stock with Blackberry Bliss ink, punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and attached it to the larger butterfly.  I sponged some Blushing Bride ink on a piece of Irresistibly Yours designer series paper and punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  Both butterflies were added to the card with Glue DotsPearls were added to the center of the butterflies and along the Wild Wasabi strip for the finishing touch.  I will add the sentiment to the inside.

Don't know why I'm using butterflies so much; maybe it's the thought of spring almost being here.  Hope you had a good week with lots of time for being creative.

Patti,
You have created a lovely card this week for the TSOT sketch. I have resisted buying this background stamp for months, but now I think I will get it and try your technique. Such a lovely card! Thanks for playing along with us at Try Stampin On Tuesday!
