Happy Bee-day

Happy weekend all.  Today is my younger sister's birthday and this is the card I will be giving her later today.  The two bees were the inspiration for this card.  I had made them last fall but never used them on anything.  Time for them to buzz outta here.

Hello Honey was my choice for the card base.  The Hexagon Hive Thinlit was used to cut a piece of Basic Black card stock.  That was then attached to a retired piece of Moonlight designer paper and added to the card front.  The daisies were cut from Whisper White card stock using the retired Daisies Die.  The tips were sponged with Hello Honey ink as well as the center of the smaller daisy.  After attaching the pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I added a 1/2" Glimmer paper circle to the center.  The daisies were attached with Glue Dots to the card.  The sentiment from the Honeycomb Hello stamp set was stamped with Staz-on ink on Hello Honey card stock and punched out with the Hexagon Punch.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was also punched out with the Hexagon Punch to use as a mat for the sentiment.  In order to make the sentiment smaller, I trimmed it on all side using the Stampin' TrimmerGlue Dots were used to attach it to the card.  I made the bees by first adding strips of Basic Black card stock to a piece of Hello Honey card stock.  The Small Oval Punch (now retired) was used to punch out the bodies.  The 1/2" Circle Punch was used for the head.  The antennae are the cherry from the Cupcake Builder Punch.  The stingers were just cut free hand.  The "smile" was drawn on with a Basic Black marker.  After putting the bees together, I added some googlie eyes.  The bees were attached to the card with Dimensionals.

Thank you for your visit.  I appreciate your comments too.  Enjoy the weekend.  I hope the sun is shining where you are.
