I've been wanting to start creating some Christmas cards early to avoid the last minute rush.  So I checked out some challenges and used the following as inspiration for my card:  Jingle Belles - mostly red; CAS(e) this Sketch #186; Merry Monday Christmas in Summer Challenge - use a previous challenge.  I chose Challenge #178 - red & gold.

Card Base:  Thick Whisper White card stock cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"; score at 4-1/4".  Added a layer of This Christmas Specialty DSP that has a diagonal cut at the bottom.  Heat embossed the sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set (not available until 9/1) with retired Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.

Stars:  I first heat embossed the "rays" from the same stamp set using Versamark and Gold embossing
powder.  The two different size stars were cut from Gold Glimmer paper using the Starlight Thinlits (available 9/1).  Glue Dots were used to attach them in the center of the rays.

Finishing Touch:  I pulled some sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim and added them randomly on the card using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

So happy you took a few minutes to check out my blog.  Please stop back again.
