Congrats & Good Luck

So happy you could join me today.  My card is for my niece's husband who was recently appointed police chief in his town.  We are very proud of him and know he will do a great job.  I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #251.

Card Base:  Natural Ivory card stock (SU retired) cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; score at 4-1/4".  Added a layer of Scenic Scenery DSP Stack.

Sentiment Layer:  On a piece of the ivory card stock I heat embossed the banner from the Banners For You stamp set using Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder.  The sentiments from the same stamp set were also embossed on the banner with the Copper Embossing Powder.  Matted the layer with Dapper Denim card stock.  Some retired hemp twine was wrapped twice around on each end.  The layer was added to the card with Fast Fuse.

Finishing Touches:  The leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set was heat embossed on a piece of Copper Foil using Copper Embossing Powder.  It was cut out with the Leaflets Framelits and added using a Dimensional.  I also added 2 Dapper Denim enamel star shapes to the banner (was thinking of a badge, albeit a small one).

This is a very clean and simple card to create and the sketch is great for all types of greeting cards.  So get those fingers inky and create a card for someone special.

Patti, Great idea to use the copper to make your card pop. The simplicity of your card is perfect for the copper accents and your masculine card. Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Great card! Love that copper embossing! I am hoping that and the foil sheets continue as it is a fun change from gold and silver. Thanks for playing with us at HSS.
