Happy Birthday Main Squeeze

Good Monday morning.  This card was made for my best friend, my hubby, who celebrated his birthday yesterday.  I used the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #227 for my inspiration.

Card Base:  Old Olive card stock cut 4-1/4" x 11; score at 5-1/2".  Added a layer of Delightful Daisy designer paper.  The light and dark variations on the paper give an interesting look behind the main image.  Stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest Stamp set on Whisper White CS using Memento Black ink.  Before adding this layer to the card, I wrapped Old Olive Baker's Twine above the sentiment.  Used a piece of the baker's twine to tie a knot right above the sentiment to accent it.

Image:  On a scrap piece of Whisper White CS I stamped the lemon using Daffodil Delight Ink.  I then restamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.  It was punched out with the Lemon Builder Punch and attached with Dimensionals.  Using the same punch, I punched the leaves out of Old Olive CS, curled the ends a little and attached them behind the lemon with Glue Dots.  Added a drop of retired Crystal Effects to one leaf as a drop of dew.

My hubby has been my best friend for 47 years and there isn't anyone else I would want for a main squeeze than him.  I'm truly blessed.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
