Floral Get Well

A family member had surgery this past week and I thought a get well card with flowers would help brighten her day.  The sketch I chose to use today is the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #294.  This card was pretty simple to make since the dsp did most of the work.

Card Base:  Pool Party CS cut 4-1/4" x 11"; score at 5-1/2".  Added a layer of Night of Navy CS.  On top of that I added a strip of Lemon Lime Twist card stock.  The sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set was stamped using Night of Navy ink.

Image Layer:  A piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP was matted with Peekaboo Peach and added to the card front.  The flower from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set was stamped on Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach CS with Night of Navy Ink.  I cut them out with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  The center of the flowers was cut from Lemon Lime Twist using the same thinlits.  I attached the centers and used Dimensionals to add the flowers to the card.

The Finishing Touches:  Wink of Stella was added to the flower centers.  For a little bit of bling, I added Rhinestones to the flowers and the Lemon Lime Twist strip.  I also added a piece of the same dsp to the envelope flap to add a little glamour to it.

Fortunately, I have been in the mood to be creative lately since I've had some catching up to do in my card making.  My sweet grandson's second birthday is coming up so I've had my thinking cap on trying to design his card.  Stay tuned.  I'll share it here when it's completed.  Have a wonderful, safe and fun weekend.
