Happy Halloween everyone.  Today I'm sharing a card I made for my grandchildren using the TGIF Challenge #131 - eclipse technique.  This is my grandson's card.  My granddaughter's is pretty much the same except I changed up the bow and embellishments (see below).

Card Base:  Basic Black CS cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"; scored at 4-1/4".

Eclipse Layer:  Since I don't do a lot of Halloween cards, I don't buy dsp or halloween stamps very often so on this card I made my own dsp.  On a piece of Whisper White Thick CS, I stamped images from three retired stamp sets (Bite Me, Ghoulish Grunge, and Fall Fest) using Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand inks.  The colored dots were made by using a pencil eraser with the inks.  The Large Letter Framelits were used to cut out the word BOO and the exclamation.  Multipurpse Adhesive Paper was added to the back of the white cardstock before cutting the letters out.  I also cut out the same letters from white fun foam, also with the adhesive paper attached.  Be sure to save all the small pieces that get cut.  I attached the stamped layer to the front of the card.  I adhered the letters to the fun foam letters and added them into the openings on the card stock.  I then added the centers of the B and Os into the openings but without the fun foam attached.

The Finishing Touches:  Added some orange rhinestones I had in my stash.  I also added some glossy accents to a few of the dots and a
couple of the spiders.  I made a bow using the 3/8" Black Shimmer Ribbon and added it to the ghost.  On my granddaughter's card I changed it up a little by using Rhinestones, glossy accents and Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon.

I used the MISTI for the stamping and it makes it quick, especially if you're doing more than one of the same card.

These will be hand delivered when we go to see them this week.  I also made some treat holders which I will share on another post.

Have a great day and don't eat too much chocolate, if that's possible.
