Friendly Pinks

Today I have a card based on the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #256.  When I saw the sketch, it seemed like it would be a snap to make.  Boy, did I make a challenge out of it.  My original thought was to do a one-layer card.  I was so wrapped up in figuring the size of the images, making my own stamps and masking, I didn't realize I was stamping on a single sheet, hence my layers.

Card Base:  Fresh Fig CS cut at 4-1/4" x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

Image:  On Whisper White Thick CS, I stamped seven squares using Powder Pink, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst, Rich Razzleberry and Fresh Fig Inks.  I didn't have any stamps with a square image so I decided to make my own.  Using the Layering Squares Framelits, I cut out six squares from fun foam.  I attached two together to make three stamps.  On the back of each I added some Multipurpose Liquid Glue and let it dry.  When it dries, it becomes tacky and will stick to a clear block.  I don't have a Stamparatus yet, but I do have a MISTI, so I used that to stamp the images where I needed them.  I stamped the first one, masked it and stamped the second and so on.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the Bloomin' Love stamp set with Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder.  This layer was attached to a piece of Silver Foil and then added to the card.

The Finishing Touch:  I made a small bow with the 1/8" Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot.  Added Metallic Enamel Shapes to the bow and two of the squares.

That's the most pink I've seen on any card I've ever made.  Thanks for stopping by and please visit again.  Have a great week.
