Happy Birthday - Late Again

Happy weekend blog friends.  Today's card is a masculine (belated) birthday card.  The last year or so I have been negligent in getting cards out on time or even made.  This year I'm trying not to miss any birthdays of family and friends, even if they are late.  Since this is a winter birthday, I went with a little bit of a wintry looking card.

Card Base:  Whisper White Thick CS cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"; score at 4-1/4".  Run the card front through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling EF.  I cut a piece of the retired Serene Scenery DSP on the diagonal and added it to the card front.  It reminded me of snow falling.  Added a piece of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon along the edge of the dsp using Tear and Tape.

Images:  The trees were cut from Garden Green CS (backed with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets) using the Card Front Builder Framelits (retired).  I had this snow marker in my stash and added it to the tips of the trips.  When you apply heat, it puffs up to give the snow dimension.  The double tree image was added.  The single tree was attached using Dimensionals.

Sentiment:  I cut two of the sentiments from Crumb Cake and Garden Green CS, both backed with the adhesive sheets, using the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.  The green was attached to the Crumb Cake, offsetting it a little to have a shadow effect plus to make it a little sturdier.  They were then added to the card front.  I stamped the belated sentiment from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set on Crumb Cake with Garden Green Ink and cut it out using a die from the Up and Away Thinlits.  It was attached with a Dimensional.

I really, really like the Happy Birthday die.  It's a nice big sentiment with a great font.  Thank you for visiting today.  Have a great weekend.
