Oh My Gosh, You're Five

My sweet granddaughter turns 5 today.  I'm not sure where that time has gone but we feel blessed every day for her and her brother.  I made her a waterfall card.  I haven't made one of these in a number of years but I recently saw one on Dawn Griffith's blog here.  She has a great video explaining the how to; looks hard but is pretty simple to make.

Card Base:  One piece of Early Espresso CS cut at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  On the front I added a layer of Painted Autumn DSP cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  Added a strip of Early Espresso CS cut at 1" x 4-1/4" and added to the card using Tear and Tape on the ends.  On the back of the card base I added a layer of Daffodil Delight CS cut at 4-1/8" x 5-3/8".  For special occasions and holidays I write a poem for them so I printed it out on a piece of Very Vanilla CS, cut it at 4" x 5-1/4" and added it to the Daffodil Delight.

Waterfall:  Cut four pieces of Early Espresso 2" x 2" and 4 pieces of Very Vanilla at 1-3/4" x 1-3/4".  I stamped images from A Little Wild stamp set on the four Very Vanilla pieces with Early Espresso ink.  Colored the bear
and the bee hive using Crumb Cake Light and Dark Blends.  The rest of the images were colored using Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach and Lemon Lime Twist MarkersClear Wink of Stella was used to add sparkle to the bees' wings, the flowers and the hive.  I put the waterfall together following Dawn's directions.  The sentiment on the pull down tab is from the retired stamp set It's Your Birthday.  I used some retired Early Espresso and
Tangerine Tango baker's twine to pull down the waterfall.

The photos show the other images used for the waterfall.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like this card and will give it a try.  There are so many stamp sets out there with images that can be used on this type of card.  Have a happy and blessed week.
