With Sympathy

Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card and I like to make them clean and simple in subdued colors.  The Sketch Frenzy Friday Sketch 051311 was a great start-off point.  I haven't used Bravo Burgundy in a while so I went to the trusty Color Coach and decided on this combination.

The card base is Bravo Burgundy card stock.  I then brayered the debossed side of the Flower Garden embossing folder with Bravo Burgundy ink, inserted a piece of River Rock card stock, and ran it through the Big Shot.  I ran another piece of River Rock card stock through the Big Shot with a Texturz Plate.  I attached both of these to a piece of Baja Breeze card stock.  A piece of retired Baja Breeze ribbon was added and the whole layer was adhered to the card front.  The sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped on a piece of River Rock card stock with Bravo Burgundy ink.  I dotted each scallop with the Bravo Burgundy marker.  This was matted with a piece of Bravo Burgundy card stock punched out with the Scallop Circle punch.  I popped it up on the front with dimensionals.  This was a quick card to make and this layout would great for cards for any occasion.

I have been an erratic stamper for a few weeks now and will continue to be for a couple more.  You can sign up to receive my blog updates on the side bar and the post will show up in your e-mail.  You won't miss a post!!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon.

Patti, this is such a beautiful card. The color combo is so soft and the debossed flowers look so pretty.
