This is certainly a busy time of the year for weddings. We're still enjoying the afterglow of our son's recent wedding but reality does set in. A friend had asked if I would make a card for a family wedding she will be attending this month. This is the card I came up with. It is based on the Just Us Girls Challenge #87. I really like the clean and simple sketch.
I chose Glossy White card stock for the base. The large image from the Wedding Sweet stamp set was stamped on Glossy White card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Two circles of Brushed Silver card stock were punched out with the 1-3/8" Circle punch and run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. The sentiment from the Word Play stamp set was stamped on Glossy White card stock with VersaMark, heat embossed with silver embossing powder and punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle punch. I first attached the silver circles to the lower left corner of the image layer and trimmed the overlap. I then popped up the sentiment with dimensionals and trimmed the overlapping edges to get the square corner. This image layer was matted with Brushed Silver card stock and adhered to the card front. To bling up the card a little, rhinestones were added to the sentiment and the image. I don't foresee any more wedding cards in the near (or distant) future, but they are really fun to make. Weddings are such happy occasions and bring so much hope and joy to the couple and their families.
