Christmas Times 2

Welcome to my weekly Christmas card post.  I seem to be a little enamored of snowmen lately.  My card is based on the Merry Monday Challenge #24.  I also used another weekly Christmas card challenge - Festive Friday Challenge #23.  There are a few weekly Christmas card challenges out there and some weeks I am able to combine them.  This was one of those weeks.

I used Whisper White card stock for the card base on this one.  A piece of Bashful Blue card
stock was put through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder, spritzed with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol and added to the card.  Whisper White card stock was also run through the Big Shot using the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  That, too, was spritzed with the shimmer paint mixture and matted with Brushed Silver card stockA piece of retired Bashful Blue satin ribbon was added and this layer
attached to the card.  The image from the retired Merry Winter (oh, how I wish that would have stayed around) was colored with Midnight Muse and Bashful Blue markers and stamped on Whisper White card stock.  I colored his nose with a Pumpkin Pie marker.  This too was spritzed with the shimmer paint and punched out with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch.  It was attached to a Brushed Silver scallop circle.  I added this to the card with dimensionals.  Rhinestones were added to the silver scalloped circle and a few of the embossed snowflakes for some added glimmer; it's too bad you can't see the spritzed shimmer because it adds just the right amount of sparkle to the card.  There it is, another week of staying on track with the Christmas card challenge.  I hope your weekend is off to a good start.  We are having some beautiful weather here in the Hudson Valley after all the rain.  Great weekend to have some fun being creative.

Such a cute card! Everytime I see your Christmas cards, I think I really have to do this. Maybe after convention.
