Thank You for a Reason to Smile

My card today uses the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge #266 and CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #63.  I'm not sure if this qualifies for a clean and simple card but I love the colors for this challenge.

This is a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" card that uses Pool Party card stock for the base.  The first layer added to the card is a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock matted with a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock.  The next layer is a piece of the Festival of Prints designer paper that was also matted with Not Quite Navy card stock and attached using glue dots.  I stamped the
solid flower image from the Reason to Smile stamp set on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Pool Party ink.  The outline flower image from the same stamp set was stamped over the first one with Not Quite Navy ink.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up.  After it was completely dry, I covered the card stock with VersaMark ink, added Heat and Stick Powder and used the Heat Tool to heat it.  When
the powder melted, I added retired Iridescent Ice embossing powder and reheat it to set the glitter.  I matted this layer with Not Quite Navy card stock and popped it up on the card with dimensionals.  The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Not Quite Navy ink.  It was cut out leaving off the dotted edge.  Using the Big Shot and the Bitty Banners Framelits, I cut out the matching banner from Not Quite Navy card stock.  I attached the sentiment to this and used dimensionals to add it to the card.  A Rhinestone was colored with the Lucky Limeade marker and added to the center of the flower.  (I added a layer of mod podge to the rhinestone and colored it after it had dried).  The sparkly image adds just the right touch to this simple card.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope your Tuesday has been a good one.
