Roses for a Happy Birthday

Happy Monday everyone.  We have a snowy, freezing rain kind of day today so I thought I'd bring some roses in to warm up the day.  My card is based on three challenges:  Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge #236, Seize the Birthday Challenge #3 (feminine card this week), and Stampin' Royalty Challenge #160 - Polka Dots.

In order to use this image, I rotated the sketch.  Raspberry Ripple card stock was used for the card base.  I embossed two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the Big Shot.  I matted the smaller piece with Lucky Limeade card stock and attached it to the larger one.  The image from the Apothecary Art stamp set was stamped on Watercolor paper
with StazOn ink and colored with Pretty in Pink
Raspberry Ripple and Lucky Limeade inks and Blender Pens.  I cut it out with the Big Shot and one of the Labels Framelits Dies and trimmed around the edges.  I then cut a piece of Raspberry Ripple card stock with the same die and used it to mat the image.  These were attached to the polka dot layer with dimensionals.  A piece of Victoria Crochet Trim was added on one side and this whole layer was then added to the card front.  I made two bows (one small & one larger) from the same trim, inserted a Pretty In Pink brad in each and attached them to the card with glue dots.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed on Pretty In Pink card stock with VersaMark and black embossing powder and popped up on the image with dimensionals.  I hope you enjoy today's card.  If you ever have questions about any projects, just shoot me an e-mail.  Enjoy the rest of the day.
