Santa in the Round

A good Sunday to all.  Been missing for a week.  We were dog sitting for our son this past week and I've also been trying to come up with cards for a class next weekend.  I guess laziness set in.  I wanted to get in on the Merry Monday Challenge #81 this week - Santa but since it closes in an hour I better get moving.  Two other challenges were use:  Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #142 and Stampin' Royalty Challenge #200 - Anything Goes.

Not much explanation is needed for this card.  It's exactly as you see it.  Naturals White card stock was used for the base and the embossed layer.  A piece of Burlap Ribbon was added and on top of that a piece of sponged Season of Style designer paper.  The image from the Best of Christmas stamp set was stamped on Naturals White with Baked Brown Sugar ink, sponged around the
edges with the same ink, and matted with an ornament
cut from Old Olive card stock using one of the Holiday Ornaments Framelits and the edges also sponged.  It was attached to the card with Dimensionals.  The sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped using Baked Brown Sugar ink, punched out with the Word Window Punch and sponged around the edges.  The same punch was used to punch out a piece of Old Olive card stock.  This was also sponged and then cut in half to use to mat the sentiment.  Dimensionals were used to add it to the card.  Cherry Cobbler card stock was punched out with a circle punch and added to the card with a Dimensional.  Pearls were then added for the finishing touch.  Since the class is Christmas cards, I'm thinking this might be an option.  I guess it will depend on what other inspiration I get.  Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, I really like this card, Patti! It's so clean and simple, and I like how you used the ornament framelit instead of just another circle to layer your Santa on. Thanks for playing with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.
