Petal Parade Get Well

Howdy all.  Today I have a get well card based on the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #195 and CAS- Colours and Sketches Challenge #65.

Rose Red card stock was used as the base.  A piece of So Saffron card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  It was attached to a layer of Wild Wasabi card stock.  The image from the Petal Parade stamp set was stamped a few times on Whisper White card stock using Rose
Red ink.  This too was layered on Wild Wasabi card stock and attached to the So Saffron layer.  The sentiment from the Express Yourself stamp set was heat embossed on White Vellum card stock with VersaMark and Wild Wasabi embossing powder.  In order to attached the vellum to the card without seeing adhesive I made it a little longer, scored each end and attached it on the back.  Wild Wasabi ribbon was added to each edge of the vellum and also attached in the back.  This layer was then added to the card front.  For the finishing touch I added some So Saffron Candy Dots.  I haven't used these three colors in a long time; that's why I chose to do the challenge.  Hopefully the cheery colors will help brighten my friend's day.  I hope your day was a good one.  The weekends go by so quickly.  I'll see you soon.

Patti, the Vellum is a great idea for this card; and the heat embossed sentiment looks great! Thanks for joining us at Pals paper Arts this week.

Yea for vellum! That stuff is so fun and way under-used! I also love that you were brave and embossed on the vellum - it's such a great effect! Thanks for playing along with us at PPA!
